The New Jersey Gay Teen Scene, was created to be a community for gay teens. A place where they can be themselves and meet other gay, bi, lesbian, and straight teens that are all open minded and welcoming of their orientation. The "gay" in NJGTS, generalizes all of the terms used to describe people who are accepting and supportive of the same gender attraction. The purpose of the scene is to unify a group that has been rejected by society and even by many loved ones. The group is run by everyone who believes in unity and helping fellow peers through these mazed times and showing them easier ways to self discovery and acceptance as well as just living a fun happy life on a regular basis. No one in particular controls or runs any part of a scene. It's run by everyone. Even two of the worst of enimies could run NJGTS together and never talk to each other. Each thing a person does for NJGTS makes it grow. If some one throws on a dance, even if the same day and time as another, it still helps the scene grow, the idea of unity amongst gay youth grows.

If you're not out or you're over the rainbow, NJGTS is still a place for you. Either to meet new friends that are familar and accepting and/or participate in the gay life or to support people that need some one to talk to and help lead them their own self discovery. We also love heterosexuals as much as homosexual and bisexuals, and no one converts anyone. We don't encourage anyone to become gay, bi, lesbian or straight, we just encourage open minds to diversity. NJGTS holds many different events and places were you can meet new people that could possibly lead to life long friends or even more. Check out the EVENTS page for more information on those.
